Welcome to the ultimate travel vlog for Manali, Himachal Pradesh, 2025.
Hey, Mountain Wanderers!
What's up, everyone? I’m back with another epic journey, and this time, the Himalayas called my name! Welcome to the ultimate travel vlog for Manali, Himachal Pradesh, 2025. Forget everything you think you know—this trip was seven days of pure, unadulterated mountain magic, blending thrill-seeking adventure with deep, soul-soothing serenity. Whether you're planning your own 2025 escape, dreaming of snow, or just love a good travel diary, grab your chai and let's dive in!
🚌 Day 1: The Arrival & Old Manali's Bohemian Vibe
The journey itself sets the tone. I hopped on an overnight AC Volvo bus from Delhi (super comfy and budget-friendly, costing around ₹1,500 - ₹1,800). Waking up to the crisp mountain air and the gushing sound of the Beas River was the perfect welcome.
I checked into a cozy homestay in Old Manali. This place is the heart and soul of the backpacker scene. Think quaint wooden houses, narrow winding lanes, and an abundance of quirky cafes. My first stop? Café 1947 for a riverside breakfast that hit all the right spots. The rest of the day was spent just wandering, soaking in the hippie vibes, and admiring the traditional Himachali architecture. The evening ended with live music and the best trout fish I’ve ever tasted. Pro-Tip: Old Manali is perfect for budget stays and an authentic mountain feel!
⛷️ Day 2 & 3: Snow, Thrill, and the Solang-Sissu Circuit
Adventure Time! Days two and three were dedicated to getting high (literally!).
Solang Valley & Atal Tunnel
We headed to Solang Valley, the adventure hub. Since I visited in a shoulder season, there was still enough snow for some fun! I took the Gondola ride up for breathtaking panoramic views—a must-do, even if you’re not doing the activities (costs about ₹400-600). I tried paragliding (around ₹2,500), and soaring over the valley with the snow-capped peaks in the distance was a feeling I can't even describe. Pure adrenaline!
From Solang, we drove through the incredible Atal Tunnel, a modern engineering marvel that connects Manali to Lahaul Valley. On the other side? Sissu! The sheer scale of the mountains here, untouched by the usual tourist rush, is humbling. The Sissu waterfall was roaring, and the drive back through the tunnel at sunset was just magical.
🙏 Day 4: Heritage & Healing Waters
Time to slow down and connect with the local culture and nature's remedies.
We started with the iconic Hidimba Devi Temple. This 15th-century pagoda-style temple, nestled amidst towering deodar trees, is stunningly unique. It’s a peaceful spot, perfect for some quiet contemplation.
Later, we hiked up to the Manu Temple in Old Manali, which gives you a fantastic view of the entire valley. The real gem of the day was Vashisht Village. Tucked away across the Beas, this village is famous for its natural hot springs. After three days of walking and adventure, soaking in the sulfurous hot water was absolute bliss. It’s believed to have healing properties, and whether it’s true or not, my muscles definitely thanked me!
🌲 Day 5: Trekking to the Jogini Waterfall
Today was all about the hike! We set off from Vashisht to the stunning Jogini Waterfall. It’s a moderate, but rewarding, trek through apple orchards and pine forests, taking about an hour one way. The trail offers fantastic viewpoints of the Beas River and the surrounding valley.
The waterfall itself is massive and sacred—cascading down from a great height into a pool. Spending an hour there, just listening to the roar of the water and feeling the cool spray on my face, was a meditative experience. Pack good shoes, a water bottle, and definitely your camera!
☕ Day 6: Mall Road & The Local Flavour
Back to the main town! Mall Road is the bustling center of Manali. It's the perfect place for some local shopping (I picked up some beautiful hand-knitted shawls and Tibetan handicrafts) and people-watching.
For lunch, I indulged in some local Himachali cuisine at a small dhaba—Siddu (a steamed bread stuffed with filling) is a must-try! In the evening, I explored the vibrant local markets and grabbed some piping hot momos from a street vendor. The atmosphere is electric, a complete contrast to the quiet solitude of Old Manali. This is where you connect with the local pulse.
🗺️ Day 7: Farewell Manali & Planning the Next Adventure
My last morning was spent at a quiet café overlooking the Beas River, reflecting on the amazing week.
My Manali Takeaways:
Best Time to Visit: Depends on you! May-June for pleasant weather and all adventure activities, or December-February for peak snowfall.
Budget (for a mid-range traveler like me): I spent about ₹20,000 - ₹25,000 for the full 7-day trip, including travel, comfortable homestays, and a couple of big adventure activities. You can easily do it for less with hostels!
Don't Miss: Old Manali cafes, Solang Valley adventures, and the Vashisht Hot Springs.
Manali is a destination that truly has something for everyone—the nature lover, the adrenaline junkie, and the soul searcher. It’s a beautiful blend of ancient culture, modern adventure, and majestic Himalayan views.
That’s a wrap on the Manali 2025 vlog!
