An early production facility is a complete facility to produce oil and gas and dispose the produced water. This facility is usually located on land, but barge facilities are also common. The size range is usually between 5,000 to 60,000 barrels per day. All the equipment for treating the oil, gas, and water such as separators, heaters, scrubbers, power supplies, lighting, water treatment, etc. is provided as a package. The facility is usually all skid-mounted and is put in place, interconnected, and commissioned by EN-FAB, Inc.  Early production facilities are becoming very important to the oil companies due to the necessity to get a field or some part of the field on line and producing in a minimum amount of time. EN-FAB can provide a complete production facility in short time, including all the equipment to treat the oil, gas, and water, plus the equipment for power generation, lighting, control rooms and site design.

EN-FAB Manifold systems are essential components for the distribution of liquids and gases. They are vital junctions and safeguards in a wide range of processes.

Utilized within exploration, development and production phases, production and Test Manifolds are used for gathering production from several wells to a centralized manifold where the wells may individually be placed on test and/or production.

Production & Test Manifold Type

EN-FAB has designed, fabricated and installed numerous manifolds for use in upstream oil and gas production.

They may be manually or automatically operated with valves with automatic timers.

Production and Test Manifolds may be designed for ANSI and API ratings for various design pressures and various pipe sizes.

Chokes can be included for pressure reduction which may be fixed or adjustable and manual or automated. Other instrumentation and controls can be provided per customer specifications.

The Purpose of Desalting

  • EN-FAB desalters efficiently remove undesirable impurities, especially salts and water, from crude oil prior to distillation.
  • Inorganic salts can become decomposed in crude oil preheat exchangers and heaters. As a result, hydrogen chloride gas is formed which condenses to liquid hydrochloric acid at overhead system of the distillation column, damaging expensive internals and downstream equipment.
  • Sand or silt can cause significant damage due to abrasion or erosion to pumps, pipelines, etc.
  • The calcium naphthanate compound in the crude unit residue stream, if not removed can result in the production of lower grade coke.
  • To remove Metals which may poison the Reformer Catalyst.
  • To avoid lengthy and expensive plant shut downs and achieve more then average Plant Life.
